Greetings from Tulum! We got settled nicely in our room, had some nice authentic tacos and cervezas then asked to watch the game in a  local restaurant. Friday night Toronto travelled down to TD Gardens hoping to forget this two game losing streak and start to win again! It’s seems the rest of the NBA is falling apart- this may be a good time for Toronto to take advantage. Boston hasn’t been as successful as we thought compared to last season but I wouldn’t count them out just yet! They got time, alongside Irving, Tatum, & Brown.

(Jump Ball)

Toronto was keeping themselves in this game and( if so) only trailing by a few points at the end of the quarter. It was an obvious that Kyrie Irving would be difficult to contain as he puts up a season high 43pts tonight but what about the others? Jayson Tatum put up 21pts with 7 reb. Gordon Hayward put up 15pts, 5 reb, 5 ast and 4 stls. They were just lucky Jaylen Brown only put up 7pts as if he were to be any stronger he score deficit would be much larger and more painful in my opinion.

Pascal Siakam continues to play a strong game for Toronto and even starting for them. Siakam had a beautiful spinning layup keeping the Raps in the game

And their heads up.

Raps down 2pts, 54-52 at the half. Which means their still in this game and could win it!

Kawhi walked away with a team high 31pts and did everything to earn those points. Two of them came from his hustle in the first half including a steal from Terry Rozier then putting down an easy flush to keep them within range.

Delon Wright ties it up at 94-94 with 6:02 to go in the 4th quarter as a part of his 7pts in the game. But, it was enough as they go into overtime and Boston outscores them 16-9 solidifying the W.

Fun Fact: ‘The Departed’ featuring Leonardo DiCaprio was shot in Boston and is one of me and my sister(s) favourite movies.

As for the Raptors - oh how so much can change in a week! Granted these were all good( and close)  games it doesn’t mean much when your reputation is on the line. They have now lost three games in a row after winning five straight. Nick Nurse has to figure something out and fast!

No rest for the boys of the North as they continue this road trip where they may literally hit the road tomorrow and take a bus to Chicago. They play the Bulls who are trying to make it in the East, while standing at a 4-12 record! Tip off is at 8:00pm.
