Well this is cool. Toronto visited the ATL, where future hall of fame Raptor currently plays. Vince Carter is 41 years old and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. I say he makes it to 50. This is Toronto’s 4th game in 6 nights on the road and as I imagine they are happy they head back home after tonight.

Fun Fact: Nick Nurse had asked Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce to join his coaching staff when Nurse was the head coach of G-league Rio Grande Valley.

Lowry was the first to score for both teams at 8:47 with a fade-away jumper followed by a three in front of his own bench(5-0). While Atlanta waited until 7:34 to score a bucket. Kyle Lowry put up an  impressive 21pts, 17ast and 12reb to help lead Toronto to victory.

This is Lowry and Greens’ 19th game as they have started every game this season. JV also  started tonight’s game and in the first two minutes it wasn’t going well. Both shots of JV’s circled around the rim but bounced right back out. Finally at the nine minute mark he hit a three and continued to sink them from there. JV finished with 24pts and 13reb. At this point in the season all three bigs; JV, Ibaka and Monroe have played with one and other which is good for Valanciunas and Toronto because this means he can play with all teammates and if he can continue to be consistent this is looking more and more like a playoff team.

Oh me oh my! “Air Canada”/ “Vincanity”/ Vince Carter checks in and it brought back flashbacks of when he wore purple and black for Toronto. And guess what- he’s still got it! Carter was left levitating in the air for a contested bucket bringing him closer to his 25,000 career points. He is the 22nd player to reach this milestone in history. Vince has been in the league for 21 years. I really hope Carter will retire in Toronto and get his number retired there as well so I’m thinking about making a petition then sending it to the man himself..mhmm.

Fun Fact: Carter’s the last a active player to pay for the infamous coach Dean Smith at the University of North Carolina.

Atlanta’s newest super star, rookie Trae Young has been on fire this season including 25pts & 17ast vs the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday. He threw up an alley-oop from the logo to a soaring Kent Bazemore(31-29)! That definitely helped the Hawks get a little closer to tying up this game and keeping their confidence up.

Remember Jeremy Lin? He who took a page from Carter's book of nicknames. “Linsanity” was playing like he were back with the Knicks back in 2012. Although the Hawks lost, Lin was a huge contribution by putting up game high 26pts and kept Atlanta in it even though they gave up 26 second chance points.

In my opinion the best part of the whole game was in the last 35 seconds of play . Carter got fouled from beyond the arc (or so we thought)  which means he will have the opportunity to get three points. Exactly what he needed to hit 25,000 career points- but after video replay his foot was on the line which means he only shot two. With under 10 seconds to play and the Hawks accepting the loss, the next best thing was to get Carter past this milestone and that’s exactly what his team did. Both teams got very emotional and paid their respects to the legend.

Toronto heads home to face the Washington Wizards Friday night at 7:30pm.  They are now 14-4 looking to continue this win streak and push it to a 4. Next week is going to be a tough game for Toronto so if they get the W on Friday it will be relieving for them. Enjoy your Wednesday night and stay warm!!
