Fancy Jackets Bring Super Powers For Raps In Win Over Warriors

There are many reason as to why I love Stephen Curry. One- his dad, Dell Curry  played for the Toronto Raptors from 1999-2002 and was a trailblazer in purple in and black. Two- His ability to change the game from game from beyond the arc and finesse the league. And, three-this photo here. Showing undoubtedly he has a kind heart and very sincere. This is Steph’s response to a young girl who wrote to him and  asked him why his shoes don’t coming in girls size(only boys) and his response is shown above. Although “Mr. Downtown” himself wasn’t playing in tonight’s game vs Toronto he still had the rest of the squad to help carry the team. Not that I’m a fan but Draymond Green also didn’t play...

And, can we please...PLEASE talk about this jacket that Nick Nurse has on !? We are going to have to start calling him “Mr.Nurse” if he keeps this up. I mean..hello!  He wears blue Christmas garland very well! I can’t forget Matt Devlin & Jack Armstrong’s jackets either! Are we looking at the Don Cherry’s of basketball? (Rest In Peace Craig Sager).

(Jump Ball)

From the jump it was Raptors ball. It wasn’t for lack of trying on Golden States end it was just Toronto was playing better ball. Raps went on a 13-0 run  in the first frame. Durant had a nice little jumper from the top of the key in the second but that wasn’t enough. Toronto held Golden State to 25 pts in the first quarter and 23 pts in the second.  Hold on, could this be a preview of the 2019 NBA finals ?! You know everyone is thinking it . And if looks like the Toronto Raptors will be singing “ we are the champions” by Queen strolling up Yonge Street in June.  Honestly if that is the case I can’t wait because it’s been 25 years( a year short of literally my whole life 1993) since Toronto has had a championship come to town.

Once again Kawhi was the hero for the Raps Thursday night. It was a team effort as the bench contributed 25 pts but Leonard put up 37 pts himself. Lowry getting his assists up there staying the best in the league in assists added 12.

Toronto led the whole but game the Warriors started to come close in the 4th quarter when Jonas Jerebko went to the line bringing them within 2pts (106-104).  He was one of my favourite players to watch this game. He was physical and efficient. Jerebko finished with 20 pts, 9 reb and 3 ast.

I saw Drake say it and if you were at the game, you would have heard him say it “OT OT, never much love when we go OT” but over time it is! What an amazing player Kevin Durant is and as you’d have it he tied up the game at 123 with 2:49 to go but never could surpass. Durant makes his season best (and game high) 51 pts along with 11 reb and 6 ast.

Raptors show they can be a team to fear even vs organizations in the west. Toronto is all smiles as they put up 4 more points than Curry’s crew. Next stop- Cleveland, Ohio ..where their Major League Baseball team needs to change their name ASAP and everyone is still missing the king. Toronto are now 19-4.

Toronto 131- 128 Warriors
