Demar DeRozan must have been feeling the start of the New Year, as he chased his career high in points on New Year's Day with 52 against the Milwaukee Bucks, mark this actually to be a franchise high set in points.

He joins some elite Raptors who can clip the 50 point mark, names of Terrance Ross & Vince Carter.

A quote from Demar echoed after the game "I remember being a kid and wishing to be in moments like that." he ended the game with 52 PTS (17-29 FG) to go with 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 5 three-pointers in an OT win.

Kyle Lowry added 26 points and newcomer to the team Fred VanVleet added 11 points alongside Serge Ibaka.

With a brand new year, the Raptors are cruising with such a dominant performance from your shooting guard.

The Raptors travel to Chicago on Wednesday, Milwaukee on Friday and Brooklyn next Monday. Things get a little hectic next week when they play Miami, Cleveland, and Golden State. This is when the true test of test start for the Toronto Raptors.
