Titans, Falcons, Saints, Jaguars Move To Divisional Round, Mariota's Pass To Himself, Browns' 0-16 Parade
Monday, January 8, 2018
The Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Jacksonville Jaguars survived the NFL wildcard weekend and are on to the divisional round of the playoffs.
One of the craziest plays of the weekend was watching Titans' quarterback Marcus Mariota throw a touchdown to himself. You have to watch to believe it. Mariota appeared to be throwing the ball away when he couldn't find an open receiver. Then the Kansas City Chiefs' Darrelle Revis batted the ball back to Mariota who ran it in for a touchdown. Titans edged out the Chiefs to continue their season with a 22-21 win.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees battled Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton in a nail-biter of a game where both QB's completed over 340 yards and two touchdowns a piece. Brees, who will be 39 years old on January 15th, outlasted Newton to pull out a 31-26 win. The Saints will now take on the Minnesota Vikings in the divisional round.

While fans around the league celebrated their teams advancing to the next round of the playoffs, diehard loyalists of the Cleveland Browns had a different take on the season. Tired of their team always losing, they held a parade for their "perfectly" bad season. The team was a disastrous 0-16, and fans held a parade to protest how awful the team has been over the years.
