Guess Who’s Baaack?! (No Pun Intended)

Lowry Checks Into The Game Helping Lead Toronto To Their Second Straight Win This Weekend!

This so Toronto’s second game of a back to back. After winning the game Saturday vs the Bucks, who are (now) 2nd in the league, Toronto’s confidence was high! They are now back in 1st place and cannot wait to continue winning in 2019. The Indiana Pacers visited Toronto as they play the second game of their 5 game road trip. Toronto plays in their “earned it” jersey’s and nope, still don’t like them. Lowry is playing but no Leonard as he will rest.

(Jump Ball)

Kyle Lowry hit a three pointer off a second chance shot and then next possession Danny Green hit another three to give the raptors a lead. I like the way Danny Green runs. He kind of reminds me of how an old man would run when trying to keep up with the youth.

Delon Wright who was scoreless vs Milwaukee hit a big corner three to out the Raps up 5 pts with 2:37 to play in the 1st frame. Wright has really improved this season and I can only see him get better.

Fun Fact:  Siakam & Leonard have scored a combined average of 54.7 pts & 63% FGs in the past 3 games prior to this one. ( Utah, San Antonio & Milwaukee).

Lowry had taken 3 charges within 11:00 minutes, so no wonder his back is hurting. Is it worth it though? I mean possibly cutting your career short ? I guess we will find out.

A Toronto Raptor who is only a few games back from injury is Norman Powell. Powell is lighting up since his return. He put up a game high 23 pts, going 10/13reb. from the field and 3/3 from beyond the arc. Powell helps Toronto go on a 9-0 putting up 5 pts himself forcing a timeout.

We can’t forget about Canadian Corey Joseph who contributed 9 pts & 4reb. As well as the Raps started the 3rd quarter vs the Bucks, it was a totally different story today. The Pacer’s went on a 5-0 run resulting in Nick Nurse looking furious and calls a time out (70-68 TOR). For Toronto’s sake thank god he did because that sparked something in the players and Lowry specifically because he had three fast break assists and a steal immediately after. For his first game back, he put up a clean 12 pts and 8 ast.

Greg Monroe was another Raptors who had a fantastic game with a +10 rating. I’d say since being a Raptor this was his best game. He finished with 11 pts & 9 reb. He wasn’t the only big who was working. Bojan Bogdanovic went to work for Indiana trying to minimize the gap. Even though he had a team high 21 pts & 9 reb it wasn’t enough.

What an emotional game Tuesday’s will be as “Air Canada “ himself and the Atlanta Hawks will be in town playing what most think will be his last game in Toronto. I have a different idea. I hope he will come back to play for the Raptors one last time to see his jersey be hung in the rafters. Tip off is at 7:30pm. Maybe Migo’s will come with them!
